Terms of Use

1.Who can use ToiletNovel

You must be at least 13 years old, or older where your country requires a higher age. Some things need a higher bar: viewing mature content requires you to be 18 or older, and earning money on the platform, when that becomes available, will require you to be 18 or older and to verify your details. If you are under 18, use ToiletNovel only with a parent or guardian's permission.

2.Your account

Give accurate information, keep your login secure, and don't share your account. You are responsible for activity under it. Tell us right away if you think it has been compromised.

3.Your work stays yours

You keep full copyright and ownership of everything you write and upload - your stories, characters, and worlds. Posting here transfers nothing. To run the platform, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, back up, distribute, promote, and format your work, only so we can show it to readers and run the features you turn on.

This license is non-exclusive - you can publish the same work anywhere else, and we will never ask for exclusivity - and it ends when you remove your work, except for limited backups, anything already delivered to readers who paid for it, and copies we must keep by law. We do not sub-license your work for anyone else's independent commercial use. You confirm the work is yours, or that you have permission to publish it, and that it doesn't infringe anyone else's rights. See Author Rights for the full deal.

4.What you can publish

Post only work you own or have permission to publish. Set an honest maturity rating and content warnings; mature content is shown only to readers who confirm they are 18 or older. Some content is never allowed, including anything illegal and anything that sexualizes minors - real or fictional, including characters depicted as minors regardless of a stated age. That content is removed and reported, with no exceptions. The full rules are on our Content & Guidelines page.

5.Optional features and your work

Optional features that read your text to help you - for example, continuity checks that keep your world consistent - are opt-in, clearly labeled, and never write your story for you. We do not train models on your work, or let anyone scrape it for that purpose, without your explicit consent. Details are on our Content & Guidelines page.

6.Cost

ToiletNovel is free to use. If we add optional paid features later - such as reader tips or memberships - they will be opt-in, and separate payment and payout terms will apply at that time. We earn only on new value the platform adds; we never take a cut of your existing rights, your back catalog, or money you make off-platform. See Author Rights.

7.Community and conduct

Comments, collaboration notes, and anything else you post follow the same content rules. Don't harass, threaten, or target others; don't spam, impersonate, or manipulate rankings or reviews; don't scrape or data-mine the platform; don't try to break, overload, or gain unauthorized access to it; and don't use ToiletNovel for anything illegal. Evading a ban or suspension is not allowed.

8.Copyright complaints

We take copyright seriously - it is the whole point of an author-safe platform. If you believe something here infringes your copyright, file a report on our Report Infringement page. We review every report, remove or disable valid claims, and notify the author, who can respond. Repeat infringers can lose their account. Knowingly filing a false report can have legal consequences.

9.Suspension, termination, and leaving

You can leave at any time. Export your whole catalog first with one click (see Author Rights), then we remove your published content. We may remove content or suspend or end an account that breaks these Terms - usually with a warning and a chance to fix it, but immediately for serious harm such as the prohibited content above, doxxing, or illegal activity. After deletion, limited records - backups, logs, and anything already delivered to paying readers - may remain as needed for operations or the law.

10.The platform is provided “as is”

We are continually improving ToiletNovel, so features may be added, changed, or removed, and the service may occasionally be unavailable. The platform is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. Please keep your own backups - the one-click export exists for exactly this.

11.Our liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, or for lost data, profits, or content. Where our liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

12.You cover claims from your content

You are responsible for what you post. If your content or your use of the platform leads to a claim against us, you agree to cover the reasonable costs of defending or resolving it. This continues after you close your account.

13.Changes to these Terms

As the platform grows, we may update these Terms. For meaningful changes we will give notice - in the app or by email - and continuing to use ToiletNovel after that means you accept the current version.

14.Governing law and general terms

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. These Terms, together with the Content & Guidelines and Author Rightspages, are the whole agreement between us.
