You own everything you publish here. We claim no ownership of your stories, characters, or worlds. Posting on this platform grants us only the limited license needed to display your work to readers and run the features you turn on.
Non-exclusive by default
Publishing here never stops you publishing the same work anywhere else - Royal Road, WebNovel, your own site, a book deal. There is no exclusivity clause, and we will never ask for one as a condition of being on the platform.
Take your work with you, anytime
One click exports your entire catalog as Markdown files you can open anywhere. Export your work whenever you want - no permission, no waiting, no lock-in. If you leave, you export first, then we remove your content.
Link out freely
Point readers to your Patreon, Ko-fi, newsletter, or storefront. We don't hide or strip your outside links, and we don't tax money you make off-platform.
How we make money (and how we don't)
